I’m Elena Alexandra Mihailov, Founder and Luxury Travel Expert at A&A Legacy Travel.
For me, travel has never been just a career. It’s been a way of life, a classroom, and a compass.

How It All Began

Two years ago, we spent Christmas and New Year in Mauritius, celebrating my son’s second birthday on a beach so beautiful it hardly felt real.

The following year, we spent Christmas in Sri Lanka, New Year in the Maldives, and then travelled home through Romania, where we celebrated his third birthday skiing in the Carpathian Mountains, before returning to the UK to officially launch A&A Legacy Travel.

That journey marked more than a milestone; it was the moment a dream became a legacy.
This year, we’ll return to Mauritius once again, because that island isn’t just a destination anymore. It’s part of our story.

Experience Will Always Be the Real Teacher

Experience has taught me what webinars, search engines, and algorithms never could.

For example: in the Maldives, not all islands have a bikini beach, and the few that do aren’t always the picture-perfect scenes you see in brochures.
On one island we visited, the “bikini beach” was hidden behind a wall, and just beside it lay a pile of mixed waste, construction rubble, household rubbish, and everyday debris gathered where the sand met the sea.
It was a stark reminder that even paradise can have its flaws, and that true expertise means knowing the reality behind the photos.

No AI, no brochure, no online “travel expert” will tell you that.
But I will, because I’ve seen it, I’ve felt it, and I believe you deserve the full truth before spending your time and money.

We specialise in the Indian Ocean and French Polynesia because these destinations have shaped who I am and what A&A Legacy Travel stands for.

From Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, and Sri Lanka, to Tahiti, Bora Bora, and Moorea, these places teach you how to pause, breathe, and reconnect.

We’ve postponed our Bora Bora trip to next year, not because of timing, but because we want to do it properly, spending at least three full weeks there, exploring every island, every reef, every heartbeat of paradise.

Even so, we are already recognised by the Tahiti Tourism Board as official Tahiti Specialists, a certification that reflects both our training and our passion to bring French Polynesia to life for our clients.
